MethodSixteen hospitals in three districts in East Java, agreed to participate in this study. This study involved nurses who were asked to give their responses in five scales for each component of QMS. A cross-tabulation was created to describe the QMS maturity across hospital accreditation status.
ResultsRegardless of accreditation status, documentation, and credential mechanism were the QMS components that mostly perceived were already at a mature level. The accredited hospitals still have problem in continuous measure and use professional opinion for continuous quality improvement; while, non-accredited hospitals do not have approves quality improvement plans. Even in hospitals with full accreditation stage, not all QMS components have been in mature levels.
