The purpose of this study is to identify the reliability of interface pressure measurement performed by nurses in detecting the risk of pressure injury.
MethodThis research was a cross-sectional study conducted at the Central General Hospital in eastern Indonesia, pressure assessment measured with interface pressure (the Palm Q, Cape Co. Ltd., Yokosuka, Japan) with five sensors. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 24 statistical test to evaluate the value of interclass correlation coefficients (ICC).
ResultsThe intrarater reliability test between three different measurements discovered a good reliability between nurses at three different wards. Regarding to working experience, the intrarater reliability test between three different measurements also found a satisfied reliability, except in neurology ward.
ConclusionPalm Q sensor has an excellent reliability as interface pressure sensor in clinical setting.
