Objetivo
Analizar tres casos de osteocondritis disecante de rótula tratados quirúrgicamente.
Casos clínicosDos casos fueron tratados mediante reimplantación del fragmento. En el tercer caso se realizó la extracción del fragmento osteocondral.
ResultadosLa reimplantación del fragmento osteocondral con sutura de reabsorción lenta ha dado mejores resultados que la extracción del fragmento.
ConclusiónLa conservación del fragmento osteocondral rotuliano es preferible a su extirpación.

Objective
Three cases of osteochondritis dissecans of the patella treated surgically were analyzed.
Clinical casesTwo patients were treated by reimplantation of the fragment. In the third patient, the osteochondral fragment was removed.
ResultsReimplantation of the osteochondral fragment using slow-resorption sutures produces better results than fragment extraction.
ConclusionConservation of the patellar osteochondral fragment is preferable to its removal.
