Call for papers: Current Controversies in the Medical Treatment of Early Breast Cancer
Systemic treatment for early breast has rapidly evolved in recent years, leading to new uncertainties regarding the sequence and combination of neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapies. We review in this special issue of the journal the most relevant clinical controversies and potential future advances in this setting.
Upcoming content:
- Can we use genomic tests before surgery to guide neoadjuvant systemic treatment of early breast cancer?
- When might endocrine-based neoadjuvant treatment be used in early luminal breast cancer?
- Should we modify the adjuvant systemic treatment in lobular breast cancer?
- Can we use Her2Dx to modulate treatment intensity in her2 positive early breast cancer?
- Is the addition of immunotherapy justified for all patients with triple negative breast cancer undergoing neoadjuvant treatment?
- How can we integrate current adjuvant treatment options for triple negative breast cancer patients with residual disease after neoadjuvant therapy?- Is pregnancy safe after breast cancer?
