Este artículo presenta las características y contenido de un resumen estructurado y comentado (REyC) que constituye el núcleo de las revistas basadas en la evidencia científica. Estas revistas que han proliferado en los últimos años son publicaciones secundarias que permiten al lector la identificación y obtención de documentos que pueden ser de su interés
Los REyC sintetizan la información de artículos de investigación y de revisión sistemática y en ellos se distinguen tres apartados: Título/cabecera, Resumen propiamente dicho y Comentario; cada uno de los cuales debe redactarse según unos principios y requisitos explícitos
A pesar de las ventajas y limitaciones de los REyC, es indiscutible su valor por cuanto ofrecen una información destilada y contrastada a unos profesionales que integran un colectivo con una gran responsabilidad en una justa gestión del conocimiento científico
This article presents the characteristics and content of a structured and commented summary (SaCS) that constitutes the nucleus of the magazines based on the scientific evidence. These magazines which have proliferated in the last years are secondary publications that allow the reader the identification and retrieval of documents that can be of their interest
The SaCS synthesizes the information of research articles and systematic reviews and three sections can be distinguished: Title/heading, Summary and Comment; each one of which it should be edited according to some principles and explicit requirements
In spite of the advantages and limitations of the SaCS, it is unquestionable their value since they offer a distilled and contrasted information to some professionals that integrate a community with a great responsibility in a fair management of the scientific knowledge
