El objetivo del presente estudio es buscar la relación existente entre el dolor persistente en la zona póstero-interna del hueco poplíteo en pacientes operados de prótesis total de rodilla, y el punto gatillo 3 (pg3) de gemelos activo.
Para la investigación se ha contado con un total de 10 casos (8 mujeres y 2 hombres), a los que se ha sometido a examen; dando como resultado una alta incidencia del pg3 de gemelos en pacientes intervenidos de artroplastia total de rodilla.
En otro término, con los resultados obtenidos, se dividió al conjunto de pacientes con pg3 activo en: grupo experimental y grupo control; y tras un programa domiciliario de compresión y estiramiento durante 5 días; se observó mejora tanto en la percepción del dolor como en el umbral doloroso a la palpación en el grupo experimental con respecto al grupo control.
The object of this study is looking for the relationship between persistent pain in the back of knee after total knee arthroplasty, and the activation of the trigger point 3 of gastrocnemius muscle (TrP3).
In this investigation we have taken ten patients (8 women and 2 men), that have been examinated, as a result we have found a high frequency of TrP3 of gastrocnemius in patients with total knee arthroplasty.
In the other hand, we divided all patients with TrP3 activated in two groups: experimental and control. At the end, after a domiciliary program of ischemic pressure and stretching during five days, it has been checked not only a decrease in pain perception level but also a decrease in the palpation of the painful threshold. These results were more significant in the experimental group than in the control group.
