Annals of Hepatology is crossing its first five years of publication. In its first lustrum, Annals of Hepatology has flourished under support of the very good Associate Editors and editorial board team and has increased high scientific quality thanks all the people who acting as reviewers of the manuscripts submitted.
In these first five years, the number of manuscripts submitted to Annals of Hepatology has substantially and steadily increased allowing us to provide you with the best and most relevant and novel information on clinical and basic research in Hepatology. A good indicator of this success Annals of Hepatology has been included in several important databases, and we are anxiously waiting for the journal’s citation impact.
What is the future? Our first and primary challenge in the next 5 years is to responsibly, professionally, and efficiently deliver knowledge to researchers and clinicians of the wide community of Hepatology. Our second challenge is to continue to improve the quality and clinical relevance of the Annals of Hepatology. To maintain its quality we are recruiting and selecting new associate editors and editorial board.
Finally, we are proud to announce that the Latin American Association for Study of Liver Diseases has chooses the Annals of Hepatology as its Official Journal starting 2007. Also we thank the Mexican Association of Hepatology for giving us this responsibility; we will strive to meet their expectations and the expectations. We shall be pleased to receive any suggestions for further improve our Annals of Hepatology.
