After one year of hard work and great effort, the journal is consolidating itself and acquiring its own personality.
Our main endeavors have been made along three lines:
_ To introduce the Annals of Hepatology to the most important groups of hepatologists.
_ To issue invitations to leading hepatologists to write concise reviews on specific subjects.
Our call has had an excellent response and we have published papers written by our colleagues in the United States of America, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Chile and Mexico. In addition, we have received original papers from Italy, Argentina, India and Mexico.
_ To obtain registration in the most important indexes.
The Annals of Hepatology is now included in the Latin American Biomedical Index (University of Mexico), the Index Copernicus and Free Medical Journals and registration with the National Library of Medicine (USA) is in progress.
In the year ahead, we are planning to develop new areas in basic research, publishing original clinical papers written by the world hepatology research community.
The future of the Annals of Hepatology is promising, but we have to keep going.
