Resumen
Introducción
Encuesta de carcinomas de paratiroides intervenidos en servicios quirúrgicos de hospitales del Estado.
Material y métodosSe presentan los resultados de una encuesta retrospectiva en 193 servicios quirúrgicos (de 340 consultados).
ResultadosSe han registrado 2.657 intervenciones paratiroideas. De ellas, 112 (4,2%) resultaron ser carcinomas paratiroideos.
ConclusionesSe han analizado el proceso diagnóstico, las complicaciones evolutivas y el tratamiento empleado. La rareza y ocasionalidad del proceso hacen difícil el establecimiento de protocolos homogéneos de tratamiento.

Introduction
Survey of the surgical interventions for parathyroid carcinoma in the surgery departments of state hospitals.
Materials and methodsThe results of a retrospective survey carried out in 193 surgery departments (of 340 consulted) are presented.
ResultsWe registered 2,657 interventions on the parathyroid gland. Of these 112 (4.2%) were for parathyroid carcinoma.
ConclusionsWe analyzed the diagnostic process, complications during evolution and the treatment given. Homogeneous treatment protocols are difficult to establish due to the rarity of the process.
