El colangiocarcinoma es un tumor maligno poco frecuente que se origina en el epitelio del conducto biliar. Puede clasificarse según su localización, su patrón de crecimiento y el tipo histológico. Se presenta el caso de una mujer de 78 años con un colangiocarcinoma polipoideo y difuso de colédoco de tipo papilar, cuya incidencia es excepcional. Se intervino quirúrgicamente a la paciente, y se realizó la resección del colédoco más una hepatoduodenostomía, con evolución satisfactoria.
Cholangiocarcinoma is an infrequent malignant tumor that occurs in the epithelium of the common bile duct. This tumor can be classified according to its localization, pattern of growth and histological type.We present the case of a 78-year-old woman with a diffuse papillary polypoidal cholangiocarcinoma. This type of tumor is exceptional. The patient underwent surgical resection of the common bile duct with hepatoduodenostomy. Outcome was satisfactory.
