Intranodular myofibroblastoma is an uncommon benign primary tumor of the lymph nodes. It was initially thought to occur exclusively in the inguinal lymphnodes but later it was reported in extra inguinal sites. The differential diagnosis should include other mesenchymal tumors and also metastasis from mela-noma, spindle-cell sarcoma or carcinoma. We present the case of a 41 year old woman with a mass in the right axillary region which was initially diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration (FNA) as a benign mesenchy-mal neoplasm and later, with biopsy, as an intra-nodular myofibroblastoma.
