Physician and anaesthetist born in Chiquinquira, Boyacá on January 12, 1953. He attended the National University of Colombia for his training as physician and anaesthetist.
A tireless worker, he was also adamant in his desire to innovate and to deal with difficult cases. He saw the anaesthetist as an orchestra conductor whose role was of the utmost importance for successful patient outcomes. Working on difficult cases was his passion just like he was passionate about coming up with creative anaesthetic techniques and processes. This always enabled him to navigate challenging cases and situations in a practical way.
He practiced in several cities in Colombia, in the departments of Boyacá, Cundinamarca and Caldas. Wherever he went he promoted interest for his speciality, many times with a forceful style, not always conventional, but always with a curious mind.
He was a good parent, loyal to his few friends, respectful and caring towards the people who were close to him.
Always a warrior for a better life, he now enjoys the peace of eternal life. Many who followed his example have now learnt to see anaesthesia in a different light.
