To evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy on the level of difficulty in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
MethodsThis study was a quasi-experiment with nonprobability sampling technique consisting of 60 participants, divided into intervention groups and control groups of 30 samples for each based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
ResultsThe three sessions of music therapy are significantly reducing the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (p<0.001) in the intervention group. Meanwhile, no significant reducing of anxiety among the control group (p=0.139).
ConclusionMusic therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels of cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy.
