This study was conducted on 11 participants who had interacted with the IPCN. In-depth interviews were conducted in 30–60min with participants from different hospital's service units. Audio-recorded interviews were then made into transcripts and thematically analyzed by data triangulation, peer-reviewed, and supervised by qualitative research sources. This study recommends optimizing the nurses’ understanding of the IPCN's role by involving management and optimizing the role of the IPCN in the implementation of nursing care through formal education in infection specialist nursing so that the presence of the IPCN is increasingly felt by nurses.
