Abstract
Objective

The aim of this research is to identify which factor affect health workers in regards to their acceptance of a health information system (HIS) at the health center in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research also aims to identify factor by using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) from the aspect of the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived easy to use on the behavioral intention and user's behavior of HIS.

Methods

The population in this study is health workers in 16 health centers of Makassar, which is about 230 people. The research sample was conducted using non-probability sampling method or non-random sampling method with accidental sampling technique. Final sample is 101 health worker who had an experience use HIS. The data was collected using a questionnaires, interview and discussion forums. Generalized structural component analysis (GSCA) used to analyze the data using GeSCA software.

Results

The result shows that perceived ease of use has a significant effect on perceived usefulness but has no significant effect on behavioral intention and user behavior.

Conclusion

Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on behavioral intention, but has no significant effect on the user's behavior. The behavioral intention has a significant effect on the user's behavior.
