Resumen

En el presente documento se presenta evidencia empírica acerca de las motivaciones que tienen los investigadores académicos en Colombia, así como también, la disponibilidad de los mismos para generar y transferir conocimiento al sector productivo en el marco de la relación universidad-empresa. Los datos utilizados en el estudio se recopilaron a través de una encuesta aplicada a los investigadores académicos que aparecen registrados en la base de datos del Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (colciencias). Losdatos fueron analizados a través de análisis de regresiones canónico y se logro determinar que las actividades de transferencia de conocimiento objeto del estudio (consultorías y comercialización de tecnología) son complementarias.

Abstract

This document presents empirical evidence about the motivations of academic researchers in Colombia, and their availability to generate and transfer knowledge to the productive sector within the framework of the relation between universities and companies. The data used in the study was collected through a survey of academic researchers listed in the database of the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (colciencias).The data was examined by means of an analysis of canonical regressions. The analysis revealed that the knowledge transfer activities object of the study (consultancies and technology marketing) are complementary.

Resumo

No presente documento se apresenta a evidência empírica acerca das motivações dos investigadores acadêmicos na Colômbia, bem como da disponibilidade dos mesmos para gerar e transferir conhecimentos ao setor produtivo no âmbito da relação universidade-empresa. Os dados usados no estudo foram coletados através de uma pesquisa aplicada aos investigadores acadêmicos que aparecem registrados no banco de dados do Departamento Administrativo de Ciências, Tecnologia e Inovação (colciencias). Osdados foram analisados através da análise de regressão canônica e se conseguiu determinar que as atividades de transferência do conhecimento que foram objeto do estudo (consultorias e comercialização de tecnologia) são complementares.
