Abstract

We present two cases of fetal cervical teratoma. Diagnosis was primarily suspected on the basis of ultrasonography and was later confirmed by histological examination. In the first case, due to a high degree of suspicion, neonatologists were able to immediately perform orotracheal intubation due to mechanical difficulty in the upper airway. Subsequent surgical treatment by the pediatric surgical service resulted in an acceptable recovery of the newborn. The second case was diagnosed before 22 weeks’ gestation, leading to termination of pregnancy at the patient’s request.
