A 25-year-old male patient, presented to our clinic because of a rash located on the trunk and limbs that appeared spontaneously 1 week ago. The patient was detected as VIH positive 1 year ago, an also reported an ulcer on his penis that he had 6 months ago. Physical exploration showed skin lesions characterized by a symmetrical and bilateral maculopapular rash, from 5 to 10 mm in diameter, which were located on the trunk (Fig. 1, video), extremities and on palms of hands. The patient also presented coated tongue and multiple painless symmetrical limp nodes located in the cervical and axillary regions. Laboratory tests revealed a positive rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test and a positive Treponema pallidum hemagglutination assay (TPHA). The diagnosis of syphilitic patch was established, and he was treated with benzathine benzylpenicillin.
