Abstract
Objective
The community-based total sanitation (STBM) is approach to changing hygiene behavior and sanitation through the empowerment of community by triggering method.
MethodThis research was conducted in the working area of Limbato Puskesmas District North Gorontalo. The study is qualitative with the approach of phenyomonology. The informant was chosen Purposive Sampling, the collection of data used in this study is in-depth interviews and observations. The data was tested the validity of data using a triangulation approach.
ResultsThere is role of the village head and health officers in the STBM Program.
ConclusionThe role of the village head as stimulant and decision maker of STBM Program in the Communities of Cempaka Putih Village is needed.
