El objetivo de este artículo es validar al castellano el Cuestionario de metas de logro 2×2 Achievement Goal in Physical Education Questionnaire (2×2 AGPEQ) de Wang, Biddle y Elliot (2007). Si bien existe otro cuestionario validado por Moreno, González-Cutre y Sicilia (2008) de la versión de Guan, Xiang, McBride y Bruene (2006), se han constatado ítems diferentes entre ambas versiones. Asimismo, este inventario aporta básicamente 2 novedades: una revisión de la validez de contenido de la subescala evitación-rendimiento para precisar su carácter interpersonal consecuente con el marco teórico, y una escala Likert de 5 puntos que simplifica las opciones de respuesta y se ajusta más a las referencias habituales en el contexto educativo español. Doscientos sesenta y nueve estudiantes adolescentes tomaron parte en el estudio. El análisis factorial confirmatorio apoyó la estructura factorial del marco de meta del logro 2×2 en el contexto de la educación física. La fiabilidad interna y la validez discriminante fueron apropiadas. El cuestionario presentó una alta validez concurrente para una serie de variables asociadas a las metas de logro como son las diferentes regulaciones motivacionales. Esta herramienta puede ser de gran utilidad para el estudio de la motivación de logro 2×2 al hacer más patentes las diferencias entre constructos.

Abstract

The goal of this article is to validate the 2×2 Achievement Goal Questionnaire in Physical Education (2×2 AGPEQ) from Wang et al. (2007). There is another version of this questionnaire validated by Moreno et al. (2008), but these authors used the Guan, Xiang, McBride and Bruene (2006) version, and different items have been detected between the two original instruments. The questionnaire presented in this article introduces two innovations: a review of the content validity of the avoidance-performance subscale (its interpersonal character has been specified consistent with the theoretical framework), and a 5-point likert scale (it simplifies subjects’ response and it fits better the different references in the Spanish context). 269 adolescent students participated in the study. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the factor structure of the 2×2 goal achievement framework in the physical education context. Internal reliability and discriminant validity were appropriate. The questionnaire showed high concurrent validity regarding several variables associated to the achievement goals such as the different motivational regulations. This instrument can be of great help for the study of 2×2 goal motivation, because it makes more visible the differences among constructs.
