El estudio se ha llevado a cabo de acuerdo con los requerimientos expresados en la Declaración de Helsinki (revisión de Seúl, Octubre 2008), así como la legislación vigente en Spain de acuerdo a lo dispuesto en la Orden Ministerial SAS/3470/2009, relativa a la realización de estudios observacionales. Se ha seguido las regulaciones españolas sobre el manejo de datos computarizados, protección de datos y confidencialidad (Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal y Reglamento de desarrollo 1720/2007, Real Decreto 1720/2007 de 21 de diciembre y la Ley 14/2007 de Investigación Biomédica). Dado su carácter observacional, el presente estudio tiene pocas posibilidades de generar ningún riesgo sobre los sujetos estudiados. A cada sujeto invitado a participar en el estudio se le informó acerca del mismo. Todo lo referente al análisis y diseminación de este estudio se ha realizado sobre los datos colectivos. La confidencialidad de los datos de cada sujeto queda respetada en todo momento. El contenido de los cuestionarios, así como los documentos generados durante el estudio y la base de datos, serán protegidos de usos no permitidos por personas ajenas a la investigación y, por tanto, serán considerados estrictamente confidenciales. Los autores han cumplido las normas éticas relevantes para la publicación y cuentan con el consentimiento informado de los pacientes.
