En nombre de todos los miembros del Comité Local Organizador, me es muy grato daros la bienvenida a este XX Congreso de nuestra Sociedad Española de Cirugía Torácica-Cardiovascular (SECTCV).
La ciudad de San Sebastián se ganó hace mucho tiempo su credencial de interesante, cómoda y agradable para el visitante. Hoy continúa manteniendo su coqueta atracción, al mismo tiempo que acepta todas las tendencias modernistas, y como fruto de ello se ha convertido en una firme candidata para la denominación como Capital Europea de la Cultura en 2016.
La Bella Easo se ha abierto a todas las opciones científicas y culturales. La inagotable lista de congresos que se celebran en la ciudad ha creado una dinámica en los servicios y facilidades disponibles que ha sido puesta a nuestra disposición para la celebración del Congreso de nuestra SECTCV.
En este marco y en el tiempo disponible, hemos ajustado un programa de actividades tanto científicas como de convivencia y contacto entre todos nosotros.
En la parte científica, se ha recibido un número muy importante de aportaciones, y puedo confirmar que, dado el alto nivel, el Comité de Selección de la Junta Directiva de la SECTCV ha tenido dificultades para hacer una selección. Para acomodarlas hemos recurrido al formato de comunicaciones orales cortas, que tanto éxito tuvo en el Congreso de Málaga.
En el apartado de pósters, hemos utilizado el sistema de presentación electrónica táctil, que permite un acceso continuado a todos los pósters durante la duración del congreso. Igualmente, en lo referente a los vídeos, estarán disponibles para su visualización de forma electrónica durante todo el congreso y serán presentados y discutidos durante dos sesiones.
Quisiera animaros a que participéis de forma activa en los eventos del Congreso de nuestra SECTCV, y que con las aportaciones de todos consigamos una Sociedad dinámica y preparada para los cambios a los que se enfrenta nuestra especialidad.
Nuestra SECTCV se reúne cada 2 años. Tendremos una Asamblea General, donde elegiremos a nuestra próxima Junta Directiva y donde se marcarán las tendencias para el futuro. Tu presencia y participación es necesaria.
Finalmente, quisiera invitaros a que disfrutéis de esta ciudad, que, además de su galaxia de estrellas Michelin, posee un gran abanico de opciones. Espero que os llevéis un gran recuerdo.
Dear colleagues:On behalf of the members of the Local Organizing Committee, it gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to this XX Congress of our Sociedad Española de Cirugía Torácica-Cardiovascular (SECTCV).
The city of San Sebastián was long ago awarded its credential of interesting, comfortable and smart for the visitor. Today, it continues to maintain its pretty attractiveness and at the same time accepts all the modern trends; as a consequence of this is a strong candidate to become the European Cultural Capital in 2016.
The Bella Easo is open to all scientific and cultural options. The inexhaustible list of Congresses and Meetings celebrated in the city has created a dynamics in servicing and available facilities currently at our disposal for the celebration of the Congress of our SECTCV.
Within this frame and during the allocated time, we have adapted a programme of scientific and social activities to strengthen our interaction.
Regarding the scientific side, an important number of contributions were received and I can confirm that, due to its high level, the Programme Committee of the Council of the SECTCV had real trouble at the time of selecting the abstracts. To accommodate them we have relied on the short oral presentation format that was very successful in the Málaga Congress.
Talking about posters, we have also relied on the tactile electronic presentation system, which allows for a continuous access to all of them during the entire congress. Furthermore, the videos will be available for electronic visualization during the duration of the congress and will be presented and discussed in two sessions.
I would like to request your active participation in all the events of the Congress of our SECTCV and that with all your contributions we can push forward for a dynamic Society ready for all the eventual changes currently faced by our specialty.
Our SECTCV meets every two years. We will have a General Body Meeting where we will be choosing our next council and where the trends for the future will be defined. Your presence and participation is necessary.
Last, but not least, I would like to invite you to enjoy this city that, in addition to its galaxy of Michelin stars, has a wide number of options. I hope that you will go back with a great memory.
