We present the case of a 35-year-old male who was referred to our department due to mesenteric fibromatosis with severe infiltration at the root of the mesentery. After completing the study with an abdominal MRI and aortography, the presence of a mass was confirmed, which measured 92mm×55mm×73mm and completely affected the root of the mesentery. This caused complete thrombosis of the infrarenal abdominal aorta, with hypertrophy of Riolan's arch from the middle colic artery to the inferior mesenteric artery. With these findings, we decided to study the patient as a candidate for bowel transplantation (Fig. 1).
