En este texto se analizan las reacciones más usuales que subyacen al diagnóstico de la enfermedad, así como la influencia que tienen las actitudes de la familia y del entorno laboral afectivo. Se apuntan algunas recomendaciones a los profesionales de la salud para contribuir a mejorar la sensación de bienestar del individuo y facilitar el cumplimiento terapéutico.

In the text we analyze the most frequent patient behaviour associated with diabetes diagnosis, as well as the influence of the familial and professional environment.
We point out some recomendations to health professionals in order to contribute to the acceptance of the disease and to increase therapeutical compliance.
