Technology impact on healthcare quality of the hospital: A literature review

Abstract

Objective

This study aimed to know technology aspects influencing people or researcher to publish the technology-related papers and how technology positively impacted the hospital according the issued publications.

Methods

We conduct literature searches relating to technology in the health sector that are used in a hospital. Searching process use Google Scholar (GS), ScienceDirect (SD), and PubMed (PM). Articles are classified according to related technological aspects. Next, we determine which aspects are dominant and how they affect health services.

Results

We found that GS found more articles compared to those two search engines. The most populated articles are related to the health information technology (HIT) and electronic health records (EHR). All related-technology aspects are positively affected the hospital or healthcare process.

Conclusion

Innovative health technologies will keep on being grown, effectively assessed, and deployed rapidly as they offer numerous points of interest to patients and doctors. Utilized accurately, they can possibly help improve training, patient centeredness, access, agreeableness, decency, efficiency, quality, outcomes, and cost viability.
