A 41-year-old female came to our clinic with several asymptomatic firm plaques located on the right elbow for last 20 years. There was no history of damage, or any intervention done in that zone. Physical examination showed whitish plaques of firm and rough consistency situated on the right elbow in an irregular pattern (Fig. 1). Dermatoscopy of the lesion exposed formless white orbicular zones. The histological analysis was characterized by focal parakeratosis, follicular plugging with orthokeratosis, and eosinophilic calcified substance and lymphomononuclear infiltrate in the reticular dermis. The laboratory data were normal. The clinical diagnosis was idiopathic calcinosis cutis. The patient was treated with ablative laser therapy and topical sodium metabisulfite with good response.
